Cameo is out for Microsoft PowerPoint users on iOS and the web

Microsoft has rolled out “Cameo” for PowerPoint users on iOS and the web. Cameo is a feature that enables you to incorporate a camera or live video feed into your presentation.

This can come in handy for a number of reasons, such as demonstrating a product or service, delivering a live presentation to a distant audience, or adding a personal touch to your presentation. Any spelling, grammar, or punctuation errors have been corrected.

To use Cameo, insert a cameo object on your slide and select the camera source you want to use. You can then preview your cameo and format it to your liking. Once you’re happy with the results, you can present your presentation with cameo enabled.

Last month, Microsoft improved Cameo by adding a camera preview, source control, enhanced design and consistency, and personalized styles.

Microsoft has asked its users to try these scenarios

  • Apply different types of transitions to your live camera feeds, such as Morph.

  • Preview your slides with Cameo inserted in Slide Show and Presenter View.

  • Select a camera source without leaving your presentation.

Cameo is currently available to all PowerPoint for web users and Beta Channel users running PowerPoint for iOS Version 2.77 (Build 23090704) or later.
