Microsoft has just released a new preview version of Windows 11, and it’s bringing some exciting improvements to the wireless front. One feature in particular is making it incredibly easy for visitors to log on to your Wi-Fi network at home: a simple QR code.

In the past, connecting to a Wi-Fi network could be a tedious process. You had to manually enter the password for your router or navigate through various settings and submenus in the Network and Sharing Center. It was far from convenient. But with Windows 11’s new sharing features, it’s as easy as sharing Wi-Fi passwords on an Android phone.

But with Windows 11’s latest preview build 25977 in the Canary channel, Microsoft is changing the game. In the Wi-Fi properties section, a QR code now accompanies the password. The convenient addition allows anyone to connect to your Wi-Fi network by scanning the QR code using the device’s camera.

No more typing in long passwords or getting lost in a maze of settings.

Here’s how it works: when you go to the Wi-Fi properties on your device, you’ll notice that a QR code is now displayed alongside the Wi-Fi password. Guests who want to connect to your network only need to scan that QR code using their device’s camera, and voila! They are successfully connected to your Wi-Fi network.

The exciting development marks a step towards a more user-friendly and streamlined Wi-Fi experience on Windows 11. Microsoft is consistently working towards improving connectivity options and making technology more accessible for everyone.

So, if you’re looking forward to hassle-free Wi-Fi sharing and connectivity, keep an eye out for the upcoming Windows 11 release.
