Xbox One embraces the Reddit world with ReddX, the 'first-ever reddit app for the TV'Xbox One is finally getting a Reddit app. Major Nelson has announced that ReddX, a third-party client for Reddit will become available on the gaming console in next few hours. He touts that ReddX is also the “first-ever reddit app for the TV”.

Certainly it’s a nice addition, as users will now be able to keep up with news, entertainment and whatnot thanks to this new inclusion. “[It] is exciting because it combines the intense community involvement we’ve come to know on both platforms with the unique capabilities offered by Xbox One”, Larry (Major Nelson) explained in a blogpost.

The app will allow users to read text, view images, videos and directly on the TV. One can also zoom in and zoom out of text and images for a closer look. Much like on the Web version of Reddit, ReddX will allow users to upvote and downvote a thread, as well as plant a comment in there.

You can also use your Xbox One controller, media remote as well as Xbox SmartGlass from any of your device to enjoy the service. The service will be available to Xbox Live members in the US and Canada.
