Words With Friends gets a big update, now available for Windows Phone 8.1

The popular game Words With Friends from Zynga has been re-released for Windows Phone, fixing numerous bugs and issues that were plaguing the app when it was originally released. The app now supports Windows Phone 8.1 as well.

“The game is deceptively simple: Choose from your randomly selected tiles to create words and build more words connected to those words, or those made by your opponent. While you can certainly flex your massive vocab, I’ve also found you can earn even more points through savvy placement, especially over triple word and triple letter spots,” Microsoft stated in an official blog post today.

You can play with friends or random opponents, as well as utilize the in-game chat. The app is gorgeous and we are sure Windows Phone fans will enjoy this big update.

This is a fantastic app that helps you practice your vocabulary and strategy skills, and it has been rebuilt for Windows Phone 8 and Windows Phone 8.1. The app is also available for free via the download link below.
