Windows 10 build 10056 brings a plethora of new changes and features. One of those new changes are the new News, Weather, Finance and Sport apps, which are now universal and sporting new Windows 10 UI’s. These new apps will run across both PC and phone, and with the UI being the same across devices, the experience shouldn’t differ too much when using the apps.
All the apps now have a navigation bar across the top, with a hamburger menu which gives users access to additional features and settings. The new UI is designed for both desktop and tablets, much like the other Windows 10 apps such as Music and Video preview apps. A common trend with the new Windows 10 apps are navigation bars, the built in Store app features this UI too.
Windows 10 is shaping up to be an excellent looking operating system. With every new build, elements of Windows 8 and Windows 7 are slowly being replaced with new, Modern, updated user-interfaces that match the Windows 10 feel. Microsoft is expected to be launching a release candidate build of Windows 10 at its annual BUILD conference later this month, which is expected to be feature-complete, allowing for the company to focus entirely on stability and bugs before RTM this summer.
