While Google may have dazzled fans with several announcements from its developer keynote at Google I/O, Microsoft’s Windows team was toiling away at delivering on the promises it made at its own developer conference earlier this year.
Moments ago, Gabe Aul and the Windows team just released a preview of its Windows 10 Anniversary Update OS, the one announced during Build 2016, with Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14342 to Slow Ring participants.
Last week, build 14342 was “accidently” seeded to Windows 10 Insiders participating in the Fast Ring releases and with the leaked preview brought several new features and ton of necessary fixes. Now, a few days later, Slow Ring Insiders can now enjoy the same level of functionality and stability build 14342 brings.
While build 14342 did come with a hefty handful of fixes and new additions with its Fast Ring release, it also had some known issues that Slow Ring Insiders will sidestep. Also, with the release of Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14342 for the Slow Ring, the Windows team is also releasing a cumulative update in KB3158988 that addresses a handful of issues Fast Ring users were experiencing.
For Insiders on the Slow Ring, head over to the Update page in settings to install the latest Windows 10 Insider Preview build 14342 now.
Happy downloading, Insiders!
