Wikio for Wikipedia is a clean and minimalistic Universal Windows 10 app

If you’re the sort of person who tends to get lost for hours on end reading through Wikipedia articles, then you may want to take a look at Wikio. Wikio is a new Universal Windows 10 app that makes browsing through Wikipedia fast and simple and lets people enjoy their binge-reading on a specialized platform.

Wikio, which has been around for just a week now, is a surprisingly clean and well-designed tool in its infancy. The app loads quickly and without any fuss, letting you load up a Wikipedia page and keep on reading to your heart’s desire, and its minimalist design is perfect for the simple layout of Wikipedia pages, and nothing really gets in the way of reading. That being said, there are some issues with the app – namely, there doesn’t seem to be any way to log into your Wikipedia account, so you can just engage as a reader.  It also lacks any ability to save articles for offline reading, which some users in the app’s review section seem to want.

All things considered, for an app that’s just come out, Wikio is pretty solid. Keep your eye on it as development continues to see if any new features are added, or if they can make it even more responsive than it already is.
