Verizon has partnered up with Lenovo to market the ThinkPad X13s, which has been termed to provide a “smartphone-like experience”. It is also the first premium ThinkPad series laptop for business, which features a built-in Verizon 5G Ultra Wideband, low latency, and sufficient storage space among other nifty features.
First up, with the high speeds and long battery life that the ThinkPad X13s brings to the table, business owners can now be able to run their organizations effectively and efficiently regardless of their location, as the device is specifically designed to enhance remote working. Though the 5G Ultra Wideband network is limited to certain areas, it allows employees to easily transfer large files as well as make HD video calls outside the organization as it is 10 times faster than 4G. Not forgetting the fact that it is safer compared to public Wi-Fi.
According to Verizon, the device “allows for smart collaboration with AI auto framing, 5MP camera, AI echo cancellation and noise suppression. Designed to keep up with your business, the ThinkPad X13s is MIL-SPEC 810H tested with 12 methods, 26 procedures, and 200 quality checks”.
The ultrathin Windows 11 PC comes with Lenovo ThinkShield Platform Security, which is based on Microsoft’s Pluton security processor that helps shield businesses from security breaches. The device is also designed to detect and connect to Verizon On Site 5G private network deployments, which in return significantly reduces susceptibility to attacks by hackers as the organization is able to separate private and public traffic.
And finally, using an eSIM the business owner can make activations on new devices easily regardless of the employees’ location using Wi-Fi securely.
