Until today, participants in the Xbox Insider Program shared feedback with each other and Microsoft staff within the Microsoft-owned Xbox Preview forums. Starting today though, that form of communication is going away and the entire process is shifting over to Reddit.
“Over the last several years, many of you have been active in the Xbox Preview forums, sharing your ideas, asking questions, and helping Insiders from around the globe,” Xbox Program Manager, David Dennis, said of the change in a blog post. “The Xbox Insider Teams wants to thank you for your years of participation and discussion. Soon, the Preview Forums will be changing, but that doesn’t mean we’re stopping the discussion.”
The new Xbox Insiders subreddit can be found here.
The change to use Reddit is a smart idea as numerous Microsoft employees already use the platform to communicate with the community on a very regular basis. Xbox Insider updates have also been posted there for a while now.
