A new videogame based on the popular Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise was just announced via a special announcement trailer. The game, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan, is due for release on both of Microsoft’s Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles sometime in summer 2016 and appears to feature an iteration of the Ninja Turtle characters that are a mix of the 90s cartoon series, the new cartoon series, and the new live action Ninja Turtle films starring Megan Fox as the kick ass news reporter, April O’Neill.

Very few details have been released on the game beyond the trailer and title reveal but a brief description has also been posted online and reads as follows:

Battle alongside your brothers through the sewers, subways, and streets of NYC to take down Shredder and Krang’s evil organization, Foot by Foot. Unleash custom combat skills and powerful team combos to save Manhattan from the overwhelming dark forces growing in the shadows.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan is being made by Platinum Games, who are well-known for their ability to make games with strong fight systems. A recent game they were involved with was Transformers: Devastation which featured heavy use of fight mechanics.

Are you excited for another Ninja Turtles game? Do you think it could top one of the older titles? Let us know what your favorite Ninja Turtles game is in the comments below.
