Microsoft To Do, the company’s task management service should become much more useful with the just announced integration with IFTTT. For those unfamiliar, IFTTT (If This Then That) is a popular automation platform that competes with Microsoft’s Power Automate, previously known as Microsoft Flow.

This update enables users to create IFTTT-powered triggers, queries, and actions to get automated notifications for changes in their task list. As an example, To Do users can use IFTTT to sync new Google Tasks in Microsoft To Do, or notify a Slack channel when Microsoft To Do tasks are completed. You can find other integrations examples on this page.

Our @MicrosoftToDo now works with @IFTTT which makes syncing all of your life’s important tasks and automations even easier! https://t.co/CsHqX0WjMK

Microsoft To Do already integrates with Microsoft’s Power Automate, though it’s currently only possible to use To Do with Power Automate with a work or school account. IFTTT supports personal Microsoft accounts as well as work and school accounts, and you can get started by creating your free IFTTT account on the company’s website.
