It’s time to go to new places in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. Microsoft has just announced that the popular flying simulator is getting its third big update, this time catered for sights and sounds in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

World Update 3 is bringing new high-resolution 3D photogrammetry for cities such as Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, London, and Oxford. It also is bringing five new hand-crafted airports such as Barra, Liverpool, Land’s End, Manchester-Barton, and Out Skerries. For other locations in these countries, there will be 85 more area airports and improved digital elevation information across the U.K.

For those who use Flight Simulator as a Sight Seeing tool, World Update 3 won’t disappoint, as it is adding in British manors and Victorian homes, as well as famous landmarks, bridges, football stadiums, and cathedrals. Of course, there are also landing challenges, and an Iconic Flight in the Northern Isles, too.

The previous two World Updates for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 were catered to Japan, as well as the USA. You can download the update now for free by updating through the Microsoft Store or Steam, and then heading into the game itself. You also can visit the Marketplace to download the UK & Ireland bundle.
