Mass Effect Andromeda was announced last year during E3 2015, and it proved to be one of the most significant announcements made that entire conference, really only matching up to Fallout 4 in the level of hype it created. It’s been a year of radio silence since, but we’ve finally gotten more information from its in-depth look during E3 2016. We’ve got a whole new cast of characters in store for us, along with new planets and new species. It’s going to be a wild ride.
EA released a new trailer at today’s EA Play event, and if you’re a Mass Effect fan it’s going to put shivers down your spine. You’ll get a look at how the frostbite engine looks for the Mass Effect universe, you’ll be able to see familiar races like the Asari and Krogan like never before, and you’ll be able to see some of the new architecture and ship design in action.
The Tempest, which looks like it may be the equivalent of The SR2 Normandy from Mass Effect 1-3, is looking absolutely gorgeous rendered in the new engine, and it seems like it’s only going to be the start of the amazing visuals you’ll get when you pop Mass Effect Andromeda into your Xbox come next year’s release.
We’ll have more on Mass Effect: Anromeda and everything coming out of E3 2016 soon, stay tuned to WinBeta!
