Microsoft has announced that you can now create polls in the Outlook app on Mac OS, Windows 10, our Outlook on the web much easier. The company detailed that the poll feature in Outlook is now pre-installed to mailboxes so users no longer need to install the add-in themselves.

To enjoy this feature today, users need to go to the Insert tab on Outlook for Windows (or the Messages tab on Mac) and then choose Poll. This will open a pane to add questions and options. A link to the poll will appear on the email and your name will be pre-populated in the CC line.

As for how to use the feature on the web, you can find it by selecting the three dots under the compose or formatting box and then choose Poll. This will open a sidebar that will let you fill out the terms you want.

It is important to note that today’s news means that the Poll add-in for Outlook will be retired. If you already have it, it is best to uninstall it. These features will only show up for Microsoft 365 Business or Enterprise accounts and are not for consumers.
