Forza Motorsport launch biggest ever for the series by a whopping 300%

TrueAchievements has reported that Forza Motorsport’s launch is the biggest-ever by a mile for the racing sim franchise, at least according to its achievement trackers.

According to its own internal data, TrueAchievements says that the previous biggest FM launch was that for Forza Motorsport 3 with a little over 25,000 racers playing the game the first day of release.

Forza Motorsport, the 2023 series reboot, saw over 83,000 players take the wheel on the day of the full release (October 10).

That’s also over three times as many as the day one player count for the series’ previous entry, Forza Motorsport 7. Of course, Forza Motorsport 2023 is the first game in the franchise to release on Xbox Game Pass, which means it had a lower barrier to entry than previous games. No doubt those Game Pass players accounted for a big portion of those 83,000+ gamers to play the game on day one.

Forza Motorsport is one of the biggest Xbox releases of the year. Check out our Forza Motorsport review for a more in-depth look at the game.
