Fallout 4 free pricing on Xbox Store gets revoked, $10 credit offered for the “inconvenience”

Fallout 4

Fallout 4 is an absolute masterpiece – if you’ve spent any time on the internet since last November, you probably heard that around somewhere. If you were looking for a good sale in the Summer, then the Xbox Store may have piqued your enthusiastic interest for a brief while as it had the game priced lower than anyone may have anticipated – namely, free.

For a brief period of time, Fallout 4 and the Season Pass were both available for the modest price of $0.00. It wasn’t just a visual bug on the store, either – the game was actually available for free on the Xbox Store, and people could pick it up. Of course, these copies of the game and the Season Pass were both revoked by Microsoft because the free price was actually a glitch. To apologize for the inconvenience, Microsoft handed out $10 of Xbox credit to everyone who thought they were taking advantage of the greatest deal of the century. Oh well.
