Altered Beast, Comix Zone, The Cave Double Dragon Neon, and Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime are the latest arcade titles to be added to Xbox One’s Backwards Compatibility list. As always, Xbox’s Larry Hryb, aka Major Nelson, made the announcement on Twitter, providing gamers with more reasons to play their favorite Xbox 360 games on their Xbox One.

As a reminder, you don’t need Xbox Live Gold to play any of the games on the Xbox One Backwards Compatibility list; Gold is only required if you want to play the game’s online multiplayer (if available). There are a couple of things you need to play:
-
You have to have a valid payment option on file to purchase any title.
-
If a game is free, you’re still required to “purchase” it – you just won’t be charged anything for it.
-
The Xbox 360 Marketplace and the Xbox One Store websites use different architecture, so if you have credit but no payment option associated with your account, you won’t be able to use the credit to purchase Xbox 360 titles. You will have to add a payment option or purchase the title using an Xbox 360 console.
-
Not all Xbox 360 games are backward compatible with Xbox One, but we will be adding more on a regular basis. Check the current list of supported games here.
One added bonus of being a Xbox Live Gold member is that every month, you get access to two free Xbox One games and two free Xbox 360 games.
