Gamers always know to count on NVIDIA when a new game is about to come out. The NVIDIA graphics team prides itself on being up-to-date for every major PC game release. The team works up until the last minute to tweak performance and fix as many bugs as possible to make it into the Game Ready driver. Today, the NVIDIA drivers reached version 365.10 WHQL for Windows 10 (32-bit and 64-bit). The goal of the release is to support an optimal experience in Battleborn, Forza Motorsport 6: APEX Beta, Overwatch Beta, and Paragon Beta.
Not only did NVIDIA prepare for the upcoming betas, but now the Game Ready driver brings full support for Oculus Rift. Many virtual reality games have been optimized and enhanced such as EVE: Valkyrie, Chronos, and Elite Dangerous. Which isn’t too surprising considering the Oculus Rift will be hitting retail shelves on May 7th! The driver also includes improved support for NVIDIA VRWorks and the HTC Vive headset.
Other adjustments include:
- Improved performance for Vulkan 3D API,
- Adding or updating the 3DV profile in Battleborn
- Adding an SLI profile for Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture and Overwatch.
- Updating NView, HD Audio Driver, NVIDIA PhysX, GeForce Experience, and CUDA.
- Power saving by putting the GPU in the OFF state while the monitor is blank or inactive
- New external graphics UI for Windows 10
- Dynamic Super Resolution (DSR) support added for SLI configurations driving a G-Sync monitor.
As usual, the update fixed a small list of priority bugs such as severe FPS drops in video games and unresponsive control panel commands. So whether you’re interested in playing the upcoming Overwatch Beta beginning on May 5th or counting on grabbing the Oculus Rift as soon as possible, make sure to update your NVIDIA graphics card to the latest drivers.
