Acer announces a host of new hardware with focus on being Eco-Friendly

Acer just held an hour-long digital event where the company paraded over 25 new products, many of which showcased power and sustainability as their main selling points.

Vero

The most eco-friendly of the product lines was Acer’s Vero lineup which consisted of the Aspire, Bluetooth mouse and keyboard, the Veriton All-in-One (AIO) and the PD2325W projector.

The Aspire Vero is a 14 and 15-inch Windows powered laptop with a 12th Gen Intel Core processor and weighs around 1.5kg. The chassis of the Aspire is made up of 30% PCR Casing and 50% PCR Keycaps paired with an “OceanGlass” touchpad.

In addition to the materials used in production, the packaging for the Aspire also happens to be made up of 85-percent recycled paper and 100-percent New Packaging.

Customers can configure the Aspire to host up to 16GB of LPDDR4X removable memory, 1TB of M.2 PCIe removable SSD storage and choose between paintless Starry Black and Cobblestone Grey colors.

Customers can pair their new laptops with the Bluetooth Vero Mouse and Vero Keyboard which are made with similar eco-friendly materials.

There is also the AIO Veriton which is a 24-inch FHD All-in-One computer also powered by a 12th Gen Intel Core processor paired with NVIDIA GeForce MX550 and up to 64GB of DDR4 memory as well as either 1TB PCIe SSD or 2TB HHD storage.

The Veriton is also made with 30% PCR plastic and packed with 100% recyclable packaging.

The Vero PD2325W projector delivers clear and precise presentations with a high 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio and broad 125% Rec. 709 wide color gamut.

Aspire

The Aspire line got some nice new spec upgrades for 2022 that include 12th Gen Intel chips, 16:10 OLED displays, Wacom AES 2.0 imbedded tech and dockable stylus.

• The new Acer Swift 3 thin-and-light laptop has a 14-inch OLED display supporting 100% of the DCI-P3 color range, and a performance-oriented configuration powered by the latest 12th Gen Intel Core H-series processors. It’s Intel Evo™ verified and ideal for professionals and creation-focused work on the go.

• The Acer Spin 5 is an Intel Evo verified convertible notebook with a 14-inch 16:10 WQXGA touch display, designed for those who need a sleek and flexible device powerful enough for creative projects using the dockable Acer Active Stylus with Wacom AES 2.0 tech.

• The slim, convertible 14-inch Spin 3 is a 2-in-1 Full HD laptop that comes with a dockable Acer Active Stylus for drawing and writing on the go.

Predator

For the gaming crowd, Acer is bringing improvements to its Predator lineup with the Helio 300, Triton 300 SE, XB273K LV and Nitro XV272U RV monitors.

• The all-new Predator Helios 300 SpatialLabs Edition is a powerful gaming laptop that enables glasses-free, stereoscopic 3D gaming experiences. With the SpatialLabs TrueGame application, gamers can effortlessly play supported games in a 3D mode on the device, where details of the scene are brought to life. Rooms appear more spacious, objects appear genuinely layered, and adventures become more thrilling—all smooth, in real-time, and without the need for special glasses. It will support more than 50 modern and classic titles at launch (the list of games is in the Dropbox Gaming folder.)

• The Predator Triton 300 SE thin gaming laptop line has been refreshed. The 14 inch model (PT314-52s) now includes the latest 12th Gen Intel Core processors, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 Series Laptop GPUs and 16:10 OLED panel options. There are two designs for this model – a Best Buy exclusive design, and a Worldwide design. Acer also added an all-new 16-inch (16:10) model (PT316-51s), which includes the latest 12th Gen Intel Core processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 Series Laptop GPUs, as well as up to a 240Hz WQXGA panel which supports NVIDIA G-SYNC® and NVIDIA Advanced Optimus.

• The Predator XB273K LV and Acer Nitro XV272U RV 27-inch gaming monitors feature AMD FreeSync^™ Premium and are TÜV Rheinland Eyesafe^®-certified.

Acer SpatialLabs

For work and gaming on the go, Acer also released its SpatialLabs View and View Pro that packages a dedicated 15.6-inch portable monitor with up to 2K resolution per eye in 3D mode as well as a contrast ratio of 1200.1 and 323 nits of brightness.

• The SpatialLabs lineup of stereoscopic 3D products expands with a pair of new standalone, portable displays for creators and gamers.
• The Acer SpatialLabs View bridges the professional gap, bringing stereoscopic 3D to PC games, media content, and even user generated content.

• The Acer SpatialLabs View Pro has been designed to support every stage of a commercial funnel: from in-house creation and on-the-road sales to permanent display installments.
• SpatialLabs TrueGame is a new application for gamers to venture deeper into the game, rendered in how they are intended to be seen in a 3D landscape.

ConceptD Products

Acer is getting aspirational with its new ConceptD Products that include the ConceptD5 which is a sleek-looking 16-inch creators’ laptop with 32GB of onboard memory, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti GPU and 2TB NVMe RAID SSD.

The other two devices are the ConceptD 100 and 500 that represent wood or faux marble accented tower PCs. Customers can load the D100 and D500 with up to 128GB of memory, NVIDIA 3060 or T400 GPUs with optimized cooling designs.

• The ConceptD 5 and ConceptD 5 Pro laptops were updated with the latest high-performance components. They both pair a brilliant crystal-clear 16-inch OLED display with a 12th Gen Intel® Core™ i7 processor and an NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 3070 Ti GPU or an NVIDIA RTX A5500 GPU.

• The new ConceptD 500 desktops now offer a 12th Gen Intel® Core™ i9 processor and either an NVIDIA RTX™ A4000 or GeForce RTX™ 3070 GPU combined with up to 128 GB of DDR4 3200 MHz memory, and up to 4 TB M.2 Gen 4 SSD storage and up to a 4 TB HDD.

• The ConceptD 100 desktops have been refreshed to include a 12th Gen Intel^® Core™ i5 or i7 processor and an NVIDIA^® T400 or T1000 graphics card. They support up to 128 GB of DDR4 3200 MHz memory, up to a 2 TB 7200 RPM HDD and up to a 2 TB M.2 PCI-e/Gen 4 SSD.

Acer Chromebook Spin

Acer gets a bit flexible with its new enterprise focused Chromebook options with the Spin 514. 714, and the Tab 510 as convertible and detchable options.

• The premium Acer Chromebook Spin 714 features performance-minded 12^th Gen Intel Core processors, a durable design, and fast-charging, dockable USI stylus to take advantage of the 14-inch 16:10 WQXGA (2560×1600) or WUXGA (1920×1200) display.’

• The Acer Chromebook Tab 510 is an ultra-durable tablet powered by the Snapdragon^® 7c Gen 2 Compute Platform that conveniently lets customers stay productive on the go with the protection of military-grade durability and optional LTE.

TravelMate P

Last up is the more standard TravelMate P lineup with some refresher spec upgrades such as 16:10 displays and updated Intel and AMD processors.

• New TravelMate P4 and TravelMate Spin P4 series of business laptops come with the latest 12th Gen Intel^® Core^™ vPro^® or AMD Ryzen^™ PRO processors.

• The TravelMate P4 series is now available with 14- or 16-inch 16:10 WUXGA IPS thin-bezel displays, and are built with stunning and lightweight aluminum-magnesium alloy and PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) plastic.
• The TravelMate Spin P4 series features a Corning^® Gorilla^® Glass anti-glare touchscreen and convertible design.

• New TravelMate P2 notebooks built with 12th Gen Intel Core vPro CPUs come with 14- or 15.6-inch displays, and PCR plastic and ocean-bound plastic throughout its chassis and touchpad.
