Resident Evil fans on Xbox and PC can now download a 60 minutes playable demo of Resident Evil Village ahead of the game’s release on May 7. PlayStation players got early access to the demo thanks to a marketing deal between Sony and Capcom, but Xbox and PC players can now pre-download it before it unlocks tomorrow, May 1 at 5PM PDT.

Be aware that if the playtime in the demo is limited to 60 minutes, players who finish it can replay it as long as time remains from the 60 minutes. The demo will allow players to visit the game’s village and castle areas, and players are free to split their time between the two.

Resident Evil Village is the sequel to Resident Evil VII: biohazard, a game that marked a return to the franchise’s original survival horror roots. Village features the same protagonist, Ethan Winters, who is searching for his kidnapped daughter in a mysterious village in Europe.

Capcom initially planned to make this 60 minutes demo only available for 24 jours from May 1st, but the company recently changed its plans and will let players try Resident Evil Village until May 9 at 5PM PDT. You can find a download link for the demo below, be aware that it’s already possible to pre-order Resident Evil Village on the Microsoft Store on Xbox and Steam.

Resident Evil Village is one of the biggest games to launch in the first half of 2021, and it will support Smart Delivery and ray-tracing on Xbox Series X|S consoles. Resident Evil RE: Verse, a multiplayer game that was expected to be bundled with Resident Evil Village has been delayed to later this summer.
