Microsoft announced today that its Edge browser is now optimized for iPads and Android tablets. According to Microsoft, the tablet apps should provide a familiar experience with features like your Favorites, Reading List, New Tab Page, Reading View, and Roaming Passwords. There’s also a “Continue on PC” button for pushing a web page to your Windows 10 PC, which is really convenient.

We already played with the iPad version of Microsoft Edge earlier this month and noted that it’s not completely ready to replace its competitors Safari and Google Chrome. As an example, the iPad app has yet to support the split view and slide over multitasking features on iOS 11, and we hope Microsoft is working on it.
In addition to the new tablet layout, the latest versions of Microsoft Edge for iOS and Android also bring a performance boost as well as improvements to the user sign in/out experience. “We look forward to bringing new features and updates to Microsoft Edge for iOS and Android in future updates, so please keep providing feedback,” Microsoft said today.
