HP announces Pavilion Mini and the HP Stream Mini desktop PCs, starts at $319.99 and 79.99 respectively

CES 2015 is well underway, and we’ve already seen some decent products see the light of the day. Today, HP announced two new desktop PCs, Pavilion Mini and Stream Mini, which aims to take less space on your desk, but offer you with decent performance. 

“The desktop tower PC continues to be a focal point in the home for sharing, creating, and entertaining,” said Mike Nash, vice president, product management, Consumer Personal Systems, HP. “The HP Pavilion and HP Stream Mini Desktops deliver the benefits of a traditional desktop PC in a package that looks good sitting on a desk and is small enough to fit into an entertainment center.”

HP Pavilion Mini weighs only 1.6lbs so you can carry it around if you want to. The mini desktop is available in multiple configurations, one is powered by a Core i3 processor while the other variant features Intel Pentium 3558U chipset. Both versions feature 4GB of RAM, but users can upgrade to up to 8GB. Other features include three-in-one card reader, HDMI port, up to 1TB of storage, WiFi, Bluetooth, and ships with Windows 8.1 as its operating system pre-installed.

The HP Pavilion Mini starts at $319.99 and includes Intel Pentium 3558U processor, 4 GB RAM and a 500 GB Hard Disk Drive (HDD). The Core i3 model starts at $449.99. 

The HP Stream Mini comes with a similar compact design, but is more budget-friendly, and offers entry-level specifications including Intel Celeron 2957U processor, 2 GB RAM and a 32 GB SSD, and 200GB of OneDrive storage for two years so you can store your files in the cloud. Furthermore, customers also get a $25 Windows Store gift card with the purchase of the Stream Mini desktop. As far as the pricing is concerned, the machine starts at $179.99.

Both devices will be available online from January 14th, and through select retailers from February 8th.
