Earlier today, Microsoft announced that the lonely type can celebrate Valentine’s Day with Gears of War 4 with a week-long event and more. If that is not enough to fill the gap for you, and if you’re having trouble spreading the love in person, Microsoft also would like you to know that you can take to Skype and check out new Valentine’s Day Skype mojis.
According to Microsoft, the Skype team partnered with Rogue Octopus, an independent agency working with rising artists and labels, to bring this year’s Mojis inspired by love. The mojis feature two characters through different stages of love and is accompanied by an existing track from one of Rogue Octopus’s talent artists. They are rolling out today, and you click on the red heart in the picker to select and send them.
Also new for Valentine’s Day this year is a new collection of Valentine’s Day-themed emoticons which can help you make your Skype messages more fun and personalized. Additionally, Skype is rolling out a Valentine’s card feature, which will let you record a Valentine’s Day message with floating hearts so you can surprise your loved ones even when you’re far away. The card can then be shared on social media, and even an email message if your heart so desires it.
To get these mojis and emoticons, you should update to the latest version of Skype on Windows desktop, Mac, iPhone, iPad, or Android. How will you be spending Valentine’s Day this year? What are your favorite Skype mojis? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
