Following months of anticipation since it was first announced back in September last year, we now have confirmation that Rare’s N64 first-person shooter classic Goldeneye 007 is releasing on Xbox Game Pass…this Friday! For anyone who missed out on this groundbreaking fps title, it’s better late than never to see why this game paved the way for the genre on consoles back in 1997.

This release of Goldeneye 007 is the original game, but with a few noteworthy additions. These are: alternative controller configurations, achievements and native 16:9 resolution up to 4K Ultra HD. while there won’t be support for online multiplayer (that will be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch version) the Xbox One and Series X|S releases will feature local split screen multiplayer as in the original release.

Look for Goldeneye 007 on Xbox Game Pass this Friday, January 27th. It will be available as a standalone game and will also be downloadable for those who own a digital copy of Rare Replay.
