The official Twitch app has updated for the first time in a long while and has finally fixed a bug that had been annoying users for a long time now. The bug in question affected the streamer listings on pretty much every page of the app. While the app would show up-to-date status’ of streamers (i.e. Live, Hosting, or Offline), the lists would never refresh when switching between the different pages within the app. Users would have to quit the app and re-open it to see any changed statuses and it made for a very poor and frustrating user experience.
No other changes appear to have been made to the app with this update which is a shame as it’s currently lacking support for a variety of features which are available on the web version and have become integral to the Twitch experience such subscriptions, bits, and communities.
