Larry Hryb (AKA Major Nelson) announced yet another update for Xbox One. The latest Xbox One update is no different than the other update released towards the end of November, containing only stability and bug fixes. Once again, Hryb reminds everyone that “there are no new features in this update.”

The Xbox support page lists the OS version 10.0.10586.1024, here are the version notes:

  • Fixes for Edge browser
  • Minor bug fixes and improvements

Nothing monumental to report, it just looks like Microsoft is looking to provide an overall, smoother Xbox One experience. We may not see any big features until January 2016, but that’s just my guess.
The big Xbox news for the week is everything Battlefield half-off sale going on for This Week’s Deals with Gold. Both Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline are 50% off, along with all Shortcut Bundles on Xbox One and Xbox 360. You can also play Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline for free through EA Access, but only on Xbox One; Xbox 360 owners are out of luck.
In other Xbox One news, Sky TV added support for Sky Go Extra and Sky Multiscreen and The Mall app was added for people to try on clothes using the Kinect. In Xbox One gaming news, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles, India and Russia got their Xbox One release dates revealed and just today the Forza Hub app was released for Windows 10.
