Xbox One SmartGlass is a neat app that allows you to navigate your Xbox One console using your device’s keyboard and touch. With this tool, you can control media, browse the web on your TV, and much more. Microsoft has rolled out an update for both the Windows 8.1 app and Windows Phone app.
“Xbox One SmartGlass is the perfect companion app for your Xbox One, both in your living room and on the go. Connect and control your Xbox One. Stay connected with the games and gamers you like. And add a new dimension to your console entertainment with the mobile device you already own,” the app description states.
Microsoft likely hasn’t updated the Windows 8.1 app listing page with the updated change log, which is typical with the majority of app updates from Microsoft. The following is listed in the change log, which could be for the previous update:
- We’ll send notifications when you get new messages
- Now it’s even easier to see who’s online and what they’re playing
- In Friends, the activity feed has a new look and feel
- Close snapped apps on Xbox One
- Improved help for Xbox One connection problem
The Windows Phone app, on the other hand, was bumped to version 1.0.3.0 and no change log was made available. This update likely features bug fixes and performance enhancements. Hit the download link below to snag the app and let us know if you notice any new improvements.
