Xbox Live service down for purchasing content

Microsoft have posted an Xbox Live service alert warning that there is a disruption to the service. The disruption particularly affects those trying to download content that has already been purchased.

“Xbox members, we know some of you are unable to watch television seasons that you’ve already purchased from Xbox Video, and we’re diligently working to correct this issue right away. We appreciate your patience during this process and will update you again when we have more information.” Said the alert, also warning that the PBS and Twitch apps in particular are down.

The affected platforms include the Xbox One, Xbox 360, and those using Xbox apps on other devices and platforms such as Windows 8 or Windows RT. The alert was posted on Friday, have any of you noticed any service disruptions? We’ll let you know when the service is fully back online again.
