It seems Microsoft’s Xbox Elite Wireless Controller is quite popular among Xbox users and is selling like hotcakes. The disappointing thing is that Microsoft is apparently unable to keep up with the demand for the controller.

It seems things aren’t going to improve any time soon as far as the availability of the controller is concerned — it’s sold out at most retailers which is definitely not a good sign for holiday shoppers. Microsoft said in a statement issued to TechInsider that the Xbox Elite Controller is sold out at most retailers across the globe, and the company is working hard to make sure retailers get stock each week. But, they also pointed out that the supply will continue to be limited until March 2016.

Here’s the complete statement,

While the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller is sold out in many retailers around the world, we are working quickly to get more units in the hands of fans. We expect more units to arrive at retailers each week but supply may be limited through March 2016.

The controller carries a hefty $150 price tag, and yet it’s sold out every where. If you’re thinking about getting your hands on the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller, you can check out our in-depth review to decide if it’s really worth the money.
