Microsoft: 1.7 million app downloads from the Windows Store were logged in October

Ever since Windows 8.1, more people have been positive and happy about Microsoft’s operating system. Keep in mind, the Surface $350 promotion also plays a major role in getting Windows 8 in more hands. With Windows 8.1, there have been many new features and changes for Windows 8, and one of the best features is the renovation of the Windows Store.

According to Microsoft, the Windows Store had a 1.7 million daily downloads for both free and paid apps in October. To be exact, users download paid apps 1,355,593 times, free apps 49,796,691 times, resulting in a total of 51,152,284 app downloads for the whole month. If you divide the total downloads by the number of days in October, you get 1,705,076.

This is good news for Microsoft, because they saw a 38% increase of app downloads since June. Hopefully, once missing apps are finally available on Windows 8, these numbers will increase relatively quickly, and we already know that because Facebook played a major role in those statistics.
