Windows Phone market share March 2013

Lets see how well Microsoft’s Windows Phone platform is doing for the month of March. According to data from Net Applications, Windows Phone has finally beat BlackBerry in market share. Windows Phone is still, on the other hand, behind Google’s Android and Apple’s iOS in terms of market share.

Back in February of 2013, Microsoft’s Windows Phone platform had a 1.24% market share. BlackBerry, on the other hand, had a 1.39% share. Now, as of March 2013, Windows Phone holds a 1.50% share while BlackBerry drops by 0.01% with a 1.38% share.

Android is still number two with a 24.85% market share as of March, a drop by 0.80% compared to February. Apple’s iOS is at the top of the market share food chain with a 61.41% share, an increase by a whopping 6.50% in share!

Great news for Microsoft since they have finally over come BlackBerry in market share. Apple must be doing something right since iOS jumped nearly 7% in share. Lets see what next month holds for Windows Phone!
