Windows phone 8. 1 powered htc w8 to hit verizon q3 of this year

Back in May of this year, it was revealed that Verizon would be getting a brand new Windows Phone device from HTC, called the HTC W8. This would allow us to see another high-end Windows Phone device land at the Big Red.  Now, new details about the HTC W8 have surfaced, thanks to Evleaks.

According to Evleaks, the HTC W8 is coming to Verizon in the United States in Q3 of this year. On top of that, the HTC W8 is powered by Windows Phone 8.1 and is based on the Android powered HTC A9 device. This means we will see a device that has high end specifications with a low end price tag.

The HTC W8 is also brings BoomSound and Duo cameras from Android. BoomSound allows for better sound quality while Duo cameras offer up a better camera quality. Evleaks did not provide a press render of the device, nor were the exact pricing details revealed.

It would be interesting to see what the HTC W8 will offer. Will you buy a Windows Phone 8.1 device from HTC or are you happy with the Lumia line up? Sound off in the comments below.
