The biggest story this past week in the world of Windows 10 Mobile was the release of a new build to participants of the Windows Insider Program. Microsoft rolled out Windows 10 Mobile build 10586.11 to Insiders, and you can watch our hands-on walkthrough of the build below. Windows 10 Mobile introduces a number of new features and enhancements, such as new universal apps, customization options and more.
This past week also saw the launch of the Lumia 950, Microsoft’s latest flagship Windows 10 Mobile device. The phone was made available in AT&T stores as of November 20th, and pre-orders of the Lumia 950 XL are shipping by the 25th at the online Microsoft Store. You can head over here and check out where to buy both devices. For those curious, the Lumia 950 and 950 XL are not eligible for Insider builds just yet.
Continuum for phones, or the ability to run Universal Windows 10 apps on an external monitor, keyboard, and mouse setup (kind of) just like with a real PC, is one of the more exciting features of the Windows 10 Mobile smartphone flagships. You can learn more about Continuum here.
New universal Windows 10 apps made their debut this past week, with Todoist and TeamViewer joining the club, along with a new and improved Pandora app. Microsoft improved the Photos app on Windows 10 Mobile this past week with the ability to trim videos, and the Groove Music app snagged a nice update too.
So there you have it. Windows 10 Mobile has reached the final stage, but Insider builds will continue on. Stay tuned to WinBeta for all your Windows 10 Mobile news.
