Windows 10 Mobile moves to 105xx build range, still coming very soon

The wait for a new build of Windows 10 Mobile continues, at least until tomorrow at the very earliest. While we’ve been hoping for a new build to drop, Gabe Aul has already deflated expectations for the day, tweeting that although a new build is still expected “very soon”, it’s not coming today:

We have a build that is looking good (in the 105xx range) to share very soon, but it won’t be today.

— Gabriel Aul (@GabeAul) August 11, 2015

Build numbers for Windows 10 Mobile have jumped from the 101xx range (the current released build is at 10166), with the new range coming in at 105xx, as you can see from Gabe’s tweet. The next build issued to insiders will likely be from a TH2 branch, as TH1 builds stopped once Windows 10 hit RTM. Because of this, it is very likely that Windows 10 Mobile will RTM with Update 1, and release around the same time Update 1 is released for PCs. This will bring PC’s and Phone up to date with the latest software.

Aul also tweeted today that no new devices will be supported in this next build, in case you’ve been waiting.
