It appears Microsoft has now started rolling out Windows 10 Mobile build 10586.29 officially to Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL users who are not part of the Insider preview. We’re hearing reports that locked and unlocked Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL handsets are now receiving the new build officially. Big news indeed!

Microsoft rolling out Windows 10 Mobile build 10586.29 this fast could mean Microsoft is finally bypassing carriers who were the bottleneck for updates in the past. In theory, this should mean Microsoft can push updates out a lot faster now without worrying about carrier barriers along the way. This is definitely good news for Windows Phone fans everywhere.

Let us know below if your Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL has received build 10586.29 yet, along with your region and whether your device is carrier unlocked or not.

Thanks for the tip Craig!
