Microsoft has started rolling out a new design for the Windows 10 Microsoft Store that more closely aligns with the web version, which as also got a fresh coat of paint recently. The change was spotted first by Windows Latest, and we’re only seeing the new design on some of our Windows 10 PCs today.
Once you get the new design, you’ll notice that the store listings for apps and games now feature a large card at the top, which sits above a full-width image or sometimes a video trailer. Just like on the web, it’s now possible to install an app or game on any Windows 10 PC linked to your Microsoft account (it also works for Xbox One games).
Below this main information card, you’ll find different shortcuts for checking out system requirements, reviews and related apps and games. You don’t need to update the Microsoft Store app to get the new design, as it looks to be a server-side update that is rolling out gradually. If you already have it, let us know your thoughts about the redesign in the comments below.
