Our last set of Windows 10 adoption numbers came in May, where Microsoft announced that Windows 10 was running on 300 million devices, and today the company dropped a new number at Ignite. Up a hundred million since May, but still far less than its 1 billion active devices goal, Windows 10 is now running on 400 million devices.
When the company first announced Windows 10, it announced that it was aiming for 1 billion devices in “2-3 years,” but partly because of the failings of Windows phones, Microsoft later announced that it wouldn’t make the number.
Microsoft has made a number of announcements at Ignite, you can catch up with a quick recap here, and stay tuned to WinBeta for all the latest!
