Microsoft released a new cumulative update for PCs running the Windows 10 Creators Update yesterday. The patch is labeled “KB4040724” in Windows Update, and installing it will bump the build number to 15063.632. It looks like this latest quality update is PC-only, as we’re not seeing it on our Windows phones at the time of this writing.
The changelog only mentions a fix for performance issue with Microsoft Edge, as well as reliability improvements for PCs with cellular connectivity. You can find more details below:
- Reliability improvements and fixes for cellular connectivity.
- Addressed issue in Microsoft Edge where on first launch after installing KB4038788, or periodically thereafter, users may observe performance issues or unresponsiveness until the next launch of the browser.
This new build still has one known issue which was already present in the latest Patch Tuesday Update, though it’s quite unharmful: after installing the update, your PC may change Czech and Arabic languages to English for Microsoft Edge and other applications, but Microsoft says it will provide a fix in an upcoming release.
