Microsoft has just announced the release of Windows 10 19H2 build 18362.10022 for Windows Insiders in the Slow Ring. This is a minor update that includes all quality and security fixes from this month’s Patch Tuesday update for Windows 10 version 1903, as well as “general improvements to the overall quality of 19H2.”
Earlier this month on September 5, Microsoft shipped the Windows 10 19H2 build 18362.10019 with all new 19H2 features turned on for Slow Ring Insiders. As you may know, Microsoft is also testing the 19H2 update with Insiders on the Release Preview ring, which can now download the 19H2 build 18363.385 released two days ago. “We are working to move Insiders in the Slow ring to 19H2 Build 18363 builds,” the Windows Insider team said today.
Even though Slow Ring and Release Preview Insiders are testing different 19H2 builds for now, they currently have access to the same new features, including a change to enable third-party digital assistants to voice activate above the Lock screen. Microsoft is expected to start rolling out the 19H2 update later this Fall, and unlike major updates such as Windows 10 version 1903, 19H2 (or Windows 10 version 1909) will install like a regular cumulative update.
