The Italian Windows Phone blog Plaffo is reporting that some Windows Phone owners are receiving an update to WhatsApp with a few new features. The messenger application is updating to version 2.12.212 and possibly comes with a few improvements, such as tagging your favorite messages for later reading, and changes to the camera interface.
The changes were spotted by Plaffo community members who are in the private beta. But Windows Central readers are now also reporting the same new features. However, there is still no new changelog for the app in the Windows Store.
If the update is rolling out en mass shortly, it will be welcomed that a popular messaging app is being regularly supported and updated for Windows Phone. However, it appears it still isn’t being updated as a universal app.
