The messaging app, Viber, has updated its Windows 10 app to version 6.5. This latest version of the Viber app features a slight design refresh with a purple shade and cleaner backgrounds. The update also adds some more video editing functionality, the ability to send larger files, and auto-playing for gifs in conversations.
Viber is a text and SMS messaging app that lets users communicate for free. It’s very similar to WhatsApp, Line, and the recently cancelled Kakao Talk app. Here’s its official description:
Viber is a messenger that is as fast & easy as texting – only for FREE! Viber messenger uses your phone’s internet connection (whether Wi-Fi or your data plan) to let you send text messages, share photos & videos, add stickers, or make voice and video calls – all for FREE!
OPTIMIZED FOR TOUCH DEVICES: Supports Desktop and Tablet Mode – use Viber on your PC, tablet and phone simultaneously. RESPONSIVE DESIGN: Resize the app on PC and Tablets for optimal view. SECURED COMMUNICATIONS & CONTACTS AUTHENTICATION: Messages, calls, photos, videos and group chats including cross-platform messages are now automatically end-to-end encrypted.
