Last year, Alcatel was one of the few phone manufacturers with HP that launched new Windows 10 Mobile flagships in the US. However, unlike HP’s business-targeted and premium-priced Elite x3, the more affordable Alcatel Idol 4S initially launched as a T-Mobile exclusive with a $469 bundle that also included a VR headset.
Later on, The US Microsoft Store and Amazon started selling unlocked versions of the handset, and T-Mobile also discounted the flagship phone. But as it turns out, the US carrier is no longer selling the Idol 4S on its website as of today. As Neowin reports, one of the company’s online sales assistant explained that “it was there yesterday but, it is not available for sale anymore. Hopefully we can get another Alcatel or Windows phone to replace that one.”
For now, T-Mobile has joined Verizon which also removed its last Windows phone, the Lumia 735, from its online store last month. If you’re still interested in the Alcatel Idol 4S, you can currently get the unlocked version from Amazon for just $284.99. This is a great offer for what remains a solid Windows 10 Mobile flagship, and this price also includes Alcatel’s VR googles.
