It’s now been three months since Microsoft launched its new Surface Pro tablet, which comes with an Intel 7th gen Kaby Lake processor, a bigger battery and an improved PixelSense touch screen. Microsoft previously said that an LTE version would be released later this year, but Twitter user Reve found out earlier today that UK retailer Misco has already opened pre-orders for two models (via Neowin).

Both Surface Pro with LTE models have an Intel Core i5 processor, and the cheapest one (£1,132.80 with VAT) comes with only 4GB of RAM and a 128GB SSD. The more expensive model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage can be pre-ordered for £1,402.80 with VAT. The store listings indicates that they will both start shipping in December 2017, with no precise date for now.
Microsoft has yet to officially announce its plans for its Surface Pro with LTE tablet, including the availability of higher-end models with Intel Core i7 processors, more RAM and SSD storage. Head of Microsoft’s Surface division Panos Panay is expected to announce new Surface hardware next month at the Future Decoded event in London, so we may have to wait a couple weeks to get the full details.
