Microsoft has kept its promise and has rolled out the WiFi update for the Surface Pro 3, set to address a a WiFi connectivity issue. Microsoft rolled out several firmware updates for various models of the Surface tablet during Patch Tuesday earlier this month, and promised a subsequent update to address the plaguing WiFi issue that numerous Surface Pro 3 owners have been facing.
Looks like Microsoft has indeed kept its promise. The update rolled out today enhances system stability, as well as improves WiFi connection and throughput scenarios. Head over to Windows Update to snag the new firmware updates. Let us know if the issue becomes resolved or if you continue to see WiFi connectivity problems.
Unfortunately, those on the Surface Pro 2 have yet to see an update that resolves similar WiFi issues. No word from Microsoft on when we can see an update, but clearly priority is on the newer Surface Pro 3 model.
Today’s update features the following:
- Surface Integration (v.2.0.1038.0) further enhances system stability.
- Wireless Network Controller and Bluetooth (v. 15.68.3042.85) further improving WiFi connection and throughput scenarios.
