Surface 2 gets big November firmware update, no love for Surface Pro 2

Microsoft has rolled out some firmware update for the Surface 2, along with the previous generation of Surface devices. Unfortunately, while the Surface 2 received a big firmware update, the Surface Pro 2 received no updates this time around.

The Surface 2 November firmware update features performance improvements for both the Touch and Type covers, along with new WiFi and Bluetooth driver updates. The Camera also saw an update and Microsoft also rolled out a fix for the audio bug that occurred when switching to speaker playback after using a headset. Microsoft also improved system performance and stability with this new update. The battery life was also improved.

\

On the other hand, the Surface RT received an update to allow the use of Japanese Touch Cover 2 and Type Cover 2. The Surface Pro (with Windows 8) received the same update. The Surface Pro (with Windows 8.1) received an update to the LifeCam driver to increase TrueColor fidelity, as well as an update to the WiFi and Bluetooth drivers to improve performance and stability.

\

The Surface Pro 2, unfortunately, received no new updates during the November firmware update rollout.

\

Head over to Windows Update to get these firmware updates installed! Let us know in the comments below if you notice any improvements or any new troubles.
