Talk about teasing! It appears the Skype app for Windows 8 is now being listed in the Windows Store front page. While it isn’t searchable, it is seen in the Spotlight area of the Store’s homepage. Clicking on the app leads to a (404) not found page. Not fair!

Skype for Windows 8 now listed, but unavailable in the Windows Store [UPDATE] - onmsft.com - October 24, 2012

Skype announced that the application is set to launch on the 26th, around the same time as the launch of Windows 8. This makes sense, but why list it in the store so early if you’re not going to let people download it? Strange.

[UPDATE] The download was available, but now it isn’t according to some. Keep checking it though, it keeps re-appearing and disappearing.
