The Coronavirus means that Microsoft couldn’t hold a dedicated Spring Surface event in New York City as it had planned, but that doesn’t stop Surface chief Panos Panay from being pumped. Over on his Instagram story, the Microsoft executive sent out a message for Surface fans about the new lineup of Microsoft products revealed in blog posts today.
The roughly 1-minute-long story starts off with Panay saying he wishes he could introduce Surface Book 3, the Surface Go 2, and the Surface Earbuds, Headphones 2 face to face to everyone. He then goes on to say that he’s still “super pumped” and that the new products are “amazing” and as “just as you’d expect.”
Sparing us the technical details of his usual keynotes, he says that each one of the products is “meticulously crafted,” with every detail being thought through. Particularly, though, Panos seems especially proud of how the products connect and integrate with Teams, Office, and Windows to do what he says can “help you create the masterpiece you want to create.”
The video then ends with a heartwarming moment. His daughter interrupts him and enters the room and Panay tells her so stay with him and say Hi. That’s when Panay signs off with a quote that no doubt will make you smile. “Even around us as the world around us is changing and we need to adapt to it every day, these products are made to adapt to you, they are made to keep you in your flow.
