When you’re on the road, at school or work, or simply just away from a power outlet, battery life on a Microsoft Surface device can prove to be very important. Luckily, we now have some good news for those of you who are noticing a dip in the battery life on your Surface Pro 3 device.
We have just learned (via Windows Central) that Microsoft is aware of a battery capacity issue on the Surface Pro 3 and is working quickly to resolve it. The company is also calling the issue a top priority and is urging customers who experience it to contact Microsoft Customer Support. While the issue seems to be with models which have SIMPLO batteries installed, users from across the web have previously reported that their Surface Pro 3 devices have experienced the sudden loss in battery capacity.
The Surface Pro 3 launched back in May of 2014. The Microsoft device packs a 2160 x 1440 resolution 12 inch display, 64 GB or 128 GB storage with 4 GB RAM or 256 GB or 512 GB storage with 8 GB RAM, and the fourth generation Intel® Core i3, i5 or i7 processors.
