Popular third-party YouTube app for Windows Phone 'Tubecast' adds support for new casting services

For those that didn’t know, Tubecast is an amazing YouTube app for Windows Phone (also available on Windows). You can use the app to watch YouTube videos, download videos to your phone, and cast your video to DLNA-compatible devices. The app is jam packed with features including support for 4k, QHD, Full HD, and SD video support, along with the ability to stream to Chromecast, AirPlay, Google TV, ROKU, Amazon Fire TV, Xbox One, and PS4.

Tubecast picked up an update today adding support for new casting services such as the ROKU, GoogleTV, and pairing with the PS4 and some smart TVs. The updated app also fixed an issue with empty news feeds. An issue with Chromecast was also fixed, along with a “file not supported” issue when casting to a PHILIPS TV. The app has received memory optimizations for lower-end devices, improved list performance and various interface bug fixes.

You can snag the app from the download link below. Tubecast is free and has over 15,000 reviews, with an average rating of nearly 5 stars.
