OneDrive is just one of the apps that Microsoft makes readily available on the Android platform, and they do a pretty good job of keeping it supported. On Friday, OneDrive for Android received update 4.1, which brought a few new features with it in order to give some love to the folks who haven’t decided to switch over to Windows 10 Mobile.
Here’s what you can do in the new update:
- Scan documents using your OneDrive for Business account – Powered by Office Lens
- Highlight, annotate your PDF files and save your changes back to the cloud
- Use the new Notifications view to find out about new albums and catch up on changes to shared files
The addition of Office Lens functionality to OneDrive is going to be a big help to people who need to copy down documents in a pinch, and the ability to highlight should help you keep things in focus when you’re poring through some longer documents. For people who tend to use the app to collaborate with others, the new notifications view is going to keep everyone in the project up to snuff about what everybody is doing in your shared folders.
